Goethe's Color Theory starts with red, yellow and blue as pure colors. After looking intensively at one of these pure colors, the eye will perceive the complementary color. The complementary colors are opposite the primary colors in Goethe's color wheel.
Because of the eight fractional elements in the puzzle, there are two reds and two greens in our Goethe Color Circle. These color shades can be seen together.
Children can learn the relationship between colors with this Creative Puzzle: Mix the colored pieces and then place the primary and complementary colors opposite each other in a circle. Or select the primary colors and place the color resulting from mixing them next to them. Tip: It is useful for children to first discover how colors can be mixed by experimenting with watercolor paint.
This beautiful set of puzzle blocks can be used to nurture a sense of colors and shapes while promoting spatial perception and logical thinking.
24 pieces in a wooden frame. Materials: basswood, non-toxic water-based dye/non-toxic plant-based oil finish. Dimensions: diameter 28cm, single blocks 2cm thickness.
