Regular care
Our Drachten childcare center currently has four groups : one group for ages 0-1, one group for ages 1-2, and two groups for ages 2-4. We believe it's important that the groups aren't too large, so we can give each child the attention they deserve.
That's why the baby group has room for 9 babies, and the toddler group for 15. We have two toddler groups, one aged 16 and one aged 8. Each has its own space, furnished to suit their age. Our beautiful building is new, clean, safe, and homey . We also have plenty of space around the building to play and move around. Safely within the fenced area, of course, and the sandbox is a favorite. At Kideo Drachten, we offer regular childcare .

Our team consists of permanent childcare staff . We've even formed a dedicated team with our substitutes. You and your child can count on familiar and trusted faces every day. Childcare Drachten is centrally located
A practical advantage of Kideo childcare Drachten is its central location: bordering a quiet residential area near the center of Drachten, on one of the main roads to the N31 and A7 highways. Ample parking is available at the building.
Handy parent portal
Kideo likes to keep you informed. When you're at work, your child is playing with us. That's why we have a convenient parent portal. This is a secure environment where we share fun moments and keep a digital notebook for your child. Parents can easily request extra care, report holidays, and view invoices.
Information
At all Kideo locations, the daycare uses horizontal grouping. In horizontal grouping, children are divided into age groups. These can be 0-1 year, 0-2 years, 1-2 years, 2-4 years, 2-3 years, and 3-4 years.
Children begin and end their day in their own home group. During the day, they can leave their home group for activities. These can include activities in the broadest sense of the word, such as lunch, dancing, creative activities, and so on. On quiet days, children may be cared for in a vertical group for ages 0-4.
For the transition from one group to another, not only age but also the individual child's development is closely considered. A child's advancement to the next group is marked by a festive "transition ritual."
Age structure
The ratio of staff to children present at any one time depends on the age group. In accordance with the updated Childcare Quality Agreement, Kideo uses the following staff/child ratios:
- children aged 0 to 1 year; 1 supervisor per 3 children
- children aged 1 to 2 years; 1 supervisor per 5 children
- children aged 2 to 4 years; 1 supervisor per 8 children
- children aged 4 to 12 years; 1 supervisor per 10 children
How does it work?
Children aren't always the easiest eaters, especially when it comes to bitter vegetables. A staggering 60% of children don't eat enough vegetables. This is despite the fact that proper nutrition is incredibly important in the first few years of life. Sometimes children need to try something 10-15 times before they get used to it. That seems like a lot of work... and we also understand that parents sometimes give up after the umpteenth time. Luckily, you can help us out! Daycare is the ideal place for a taste adventure. Seeing food makes you eat
Discovering flavors suddenly becomes much easier when you're eating with friends. When your neighbor has sampled your meal, you can't afford to be left behind, can you? Seeing food makes you want to eat. By eating together, little ones gradually and playfully become accustomed to the world of real food. This way, they playfully discover new flavors, colors, smells, and textures.
