Organic food

Healthy and organic, even after school

Organic food at the after-school care center

At our after-school care (BSO), we believe it's important to offer children healthy, balanced food. After a day at school, children need rest, energy, and balance, and nutrition plays a key role in this.

PHASE 1 - Completed

In the coming months we will be working on the first phase of the renovation, which will see us create two groups in May: one group for children aged 0 to 2 years and one group for children aged 2 to 4 years.

PHASE 2

In the second phase, we will work towards completing the entire daycare program, adding the final two groups so we have a dedicated group for each age group. We expect this to be completed in early 2026. If enrollment increases significantly in the coming period, the second phase will be completed sooner.

What do we mean by organic food?

Organic food is pure, fresh, and unprocessed. It contains no artificial additives or pesticides. This not only makes it more nutritious but also more digestible for young children. Moreover, it encourages the development of natural and healthy taste preferences.

What does your child get to eat with us?

We carefully prepare fresh, organic food every day in each group. Your child will receive, among other things:

carrot

Fresh vegetable and fruit snacks

orange-slice

Healthy snacks such as hummus with vegetable sticks or spelt crackers

cooking-pot

Hot dishes such as soups or one-pot meals

Your child's diet is tailored to their age and needs. We naturally take allergies and specific dietary requirements into account.

Healthy and organic, even after school

At Kideo BSO, we offer exclusively organic snacks and meals . After school, children receive a nutritious bread meal with hummus, cheese, vegetables, or other healthy toppings. We also provide fresh fruit or a vegetable snack daily.

In addition, children regularly prepare healthy snacks or small dishes under the supervision of a childcare professional. This includes preparing smoothies, topping whole-wheat wraps, or making healthy muffins.

We provide plenty of variety and offer children flavors that are appropriate for their age and development. This way, we encourage palate development and a passion for eating, even later in life.

Eating together, growing together

Mealtime is an important social time within the after-school care center. Children eat together at the table in a calm and pleasant atmosphere. We chat with each other, let children help set the table, and encourage a positive attitude toward food. New flavors are introduced playfully, without pressure.

Seeing food makes you want to eat - Children learn from each other and are more likely to be motivated to try something new when others are eating it too.

No extra costs for organic food

We believe that healthy and responsible food shouldn't be a luxury. That's why we don't charge extra.

for the organic food offering. This is included as standard in our childcare.

Nutritional method according to Stefan Kleintjes

At Kideo, we follow the philosophy of nutritionist Stefan Kleintjes , known for his Rapley method. This approach encourages children to learn to eat independently from a young age: with their hands, at their own pace, and without pressure. There's no distinction between "children's food" and "adult food," as long as it's healthy, pure, and fresh.

Children decide for themselves how much they eat, what they want to taste, and when they've had enough. We offer a wide range of flavors and textures, so children can playfully develop their palate. His nutrition plan provides tools to offer this responsibly, at each age.
