Our childcare center in Assen is housed in a beautiful historic building. The rooms are cozy and homely , and the high windows provide beautiful natural light. The large, enclosed garden with fun play equipment and a large sandbox is a favorite with the children.

The Kideo Assen team consists of professionals who enthusiastically guide your child every day. We have a permanent and loyal team. Even the substitutes we use in case of illness are part of a permanent staff group. We've noticed that children and parents really appreciate this.

Our childcare center in Assen is open from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM . We also offer preschool care from 7:00 AM to 8:30 AM.

Group division of Kideo Assen

The childcare in Assen has different groups: a baby group from 0 to 1 year, a toddler group from 1 to 2 years and two toddler groups from 2 to 3 years and one 3+ group.

Children aged 4 to 12 can attend the after-school care group.

Kideo Childcare Assen is centrally located on Groningerstraat and is easily accessible by both car and public transport. Thanks to its convenient location near major highways and nearby parking, parents can easily drop off and pick up their children.

When you're at work, your child is playing with us. Kideo likes to keep you informed. That's why we have a handy parent portal.

This is a safe, secure environment where we share fun moments and keep a digital notebook for your child. The parent portal is also useful for requesting extra care, reporting holidays, and viewing invoices.

Information

At all Kideo locations, the daycare uses horizontal grouping. In horizontal grouping, children are divided into age groups. These can be 0-1 year, 0-2 years, 1-2 years, 2-4 years, 2-3 years, and 3-4 years.

Children begin and end their day in their own home group. During the day, they can leave their home group for activities. These can include activities in the broadest sense of the word, such as lunch, dancing, creative activities, and so on. On quiet days, children may be cared for in a vertical group for ages 0-4.

For the transition from one group to another, not only age but also the individual child's development is closely considered. A child's advancement to the next group is marked by a festive "transition ritual."

Age structure

The ratio of staff to children present at any one time depends on the age group. In accordance with the updated Childcare Quality Agreement, Kideo uses the following staff/child ratios:

children aged 0 to 1 year; 1 supervisor per 3 children
children aged 1 to 2 years; 1 supervisor per 5 children
children aged 2 to 4 years; 1 supervisor per 8 children
children aged 4 to 12 years; 1 supervisor per 10 children

How does it work?

Children aren't always the easiest eaters, especially when it comes to bitter vegetables. A staggering 60% of children don't eat enough vegetables. This is despite the fact that proper nutrition is incredibly important in the first few years of life. Sometimes children need to try something 10-15 times before they get used to it. That seems like a lot of work... and we also understand that parents sometimes give up after the umpteenth time. Luckily, you can help us out! Daycare is the ideal place for a taste adventure. Discovering flavors suddenly becomes much easier when you're eating with friends. When your neighbor has sampled your meal, you can't afford to be left behind, can you? This way, they playfully discover new flavors, colors, smells, and textures.
